Abstract:   (7 Views)
Background: Remarriage is a choice for a man or woman who has lost their spouse for various reasons, a policy to continue living. This decision in life, when they have children, has many effects on the life of the child.

Methods: For this purpose, 17 children of parents with remarriage were selected from the city of Isfahan by purposive sampling until data saturation. These people were studied using in-depth semi-structured interviews. To analyze the data, first the data was recorded and coded, and then the 7 steps of Claisey's method were used until the research objectives were reached.

Results: The findings show 7 main categories that include the experiences of these children. These categories include unpleasant feelings, worries, remarried family members' communication, children's adjustment, positive or negative effects, adoptive parent's parenting style, and relationship with the previous parent. Based on the findings, the participants in this research have faced various emotions and experiences in their experience of living in a family with an adoptive parent, which most people consider their experience to be traumatic.

Conclusion: According to the results of the research, although remarriage is the natural right of parents, it should be kept in mind that children suffer many injuries in this process that may be involved with them for years, so parents should pay attention when deciding to remarry. Have something special for their children.
